Hokkaido Japanese Steak and Sushi: A Culinary Journey Through Asian Fusion

Food was great and the staff are amazing. Also, great parking. Can't go wrong there. The restaurant is vvery clean both in the eating area and restrooms. The thing about this place is its uncomfortably dark inside. Black walls and ceiling, it's too much. The front door was difficult to open/close. The front entry seems dirty with a broken water fountain. These things give the restaurant a bad initial experience. First impressions. I know it's expensive to invest in decorating if the restaurant is slow, but I feel if a little money invested into some updating in decor/lighting and some heating could really bring this place back to life. I mention the heating as it was more then a little chilly upon entry and while we waited for our chef. It did get better as our chef cooked for us. But the before wait and after he turned our grill off it temperature wise was uncomfortable. We needed to wear jackets. I do recognize this is a kind of nit picking on the restaurant. I do recommend givving this place a try. We did have some appetizers, sushi, a duo special with steak, lobster, and shrimp, and we finished with an ice cream and the tempura cheesecake, and soda pops. We didn't have anything from the bar, but it looks like they have a good selection. They also have a tv in the main dining area. To me that's a minus, but to those not wanting to miss their favorite sports game I can see how it would be a great pull.

We had a beautiful, tasty and fun birthday dinner on November 14. So many laughs. The table-side grill cook was terric. And our waitress, I think her name was Valery, was awesome…. didn’t skip a beat….. kept our drinks refilled and even sang happy birthday to our 9 old grandson. Would highly recommend for a fun time with a large group.

We went shortly after 4:00 p.m. and there was only one other table in the restaurant. The service was excellent as would be expected. The food was great although my friend had some problems with the Aged tofu appetizer. She didn't think it was cooked long enough but they remade it quickly. The soup and salad that was a part of our meals was very good. Our entrees were very good with very generous portions! My only criticism at this point was was it really worth the price? With my appetizer and entree with an ice water the bill came to 48 dollars and change. Add a $10 tip to that and for one person it was just under $60!

This was a nice change and something new in the area for me to go to. At the table, almost all the food was over cooked and served was slow. The food did have good taste and will try again.

The atmosphere was very nice. There's a few great options for seating. The wait staff is friendly and professional. There are many great options on the menu! The food was fantastic and the price was very affordable. The portions are huge! I had a wonderful experience and look forward to trying more options next time.

What a fantastic experience. A professional chef prepared each dish right in front of us. Yes just like on TV with flames flying food flipping... With mouth-watering food. One thing if you're there make sure you ask the waitress any questions you have. I highly suggest you make reservations so you don't have to stand in the long line waiting. I'm definitely going back here. Be prepared to spend about 20 to 25.00 per person.

Im always looking forward to coming here. All of the hibachi and sushi are always really good. At my last visit my server Anthony even gave us generous portions of yum yum sauce. It's pretty big portions at fair prices.

Food was delicious. Cook was great. Waitress was very rude. Also, in January, why wasn't the heat on? Could see our breath in the restaurant.
